Formed in 1987, our mission has been and will always be to enrich the lives of DeSoto Parish residents through the arts. To the state and IRS, we are merely another corporation with 501(c)(3) status. To the public, we are a source of information and a conduit to the arts. To artists, we are a resource, an advocate and an ally.
We are pleased to announce the ability to accept your contributions via Paypal with a link available on our website, and by card through The Community Foundation of North Louisiana’s Give for Good Campaign beginning April 20th. Checks may be made payable to the DeSoto Arts Council and mailed to P.O. Box 352, Grand Cane, LA 71032.

BACK ALLEY COMMUNITY THEATRE
BackAlley Community Theatre is a 501(c) 3 non profit located in the Historic Village of Grand Cane, Louisiana. It began its theatre work in 2000 with plastic chairs and an open space to put them. Over the years, this small but dedicated community has built walls and enclosed ceilings to create a comfortable stage area for theater patrons to sit in soft sturdy chairs. A large prop room was built with an attached Green Room for actors in wait. The theaters velvet theater curtain was purchased in 2014 and in 2015 the out door veranda entrance was donated by a theater-loving patron. This group of thespians are found locally through community interest and groups and colleges; even an after school drama group now exist for ages 10 and up.
